The Faces Behind Rival Cards
The Owners
James and Daniel met through the hobby in 2021, and decided with their mutual love of card collecting that they would open a card shop together. While they have a shared interest in both sports and trading cards, Daniel's Pokémon card expertise and James' sports card expertise compliment each other to create a well rounded knowledge base.
The name Rival Cards stems from the good-natured rivalry Daniel and James have over their favourite hockey teams—Daniel being a Habs fan and James being a Leafs fan. Though they are rivals when it comes to their favourite hockey teams, they have a shared vision for their store: building relationships with customers and making connections in the community through their shared love of the hobby, while being transparent, fair and authentic in all of their transactions.
